TCI Wins Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence for K-12 Social Studies

We’re proud to share that TCI’s Social Studies Alive! K-5 and 6-12 social studies programs have been named winners in the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence: Back to School 2026, in the Primary and Secondary Education categories.

The Back to School 2026 Awards recognize products and solutions that demonstrate versatility, value, innovation, and the ability to address real-world challenges across today’s education landscape. Selected by a panel of experienced education technology experts, an Award of Excellence reflects the kind of practical, meaningful impact that helps educators and learners as the new school year gets underway.

Judges highlighted how TCI’s programs support differentiated instruction and strike a strong balance between digital and hands-on learning:

“TCI offers an engaging, interactive curriculum that supports differentiated instruction. Its flexible reading levels, language translation options, immersive video activities, interactive maps, and built-in review games empower teachers to personalize instruction while making learning more meaningful and accessible. I believe TCI provides an excellent balance of digital and hands-on learning experiences that can increase student engagement, strengthen understanding, and support academic success.”

This recognition also reflects the strength of this year’s submissions. The Tech & Learning editorial team shared:

“The 2026 awards saw an impressive range of products and solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s education sector. Our expert judges were particularly impressed by the quality, innovation, and practical impact demonstrated by this year’s winners. Each winning product has shown its ability to support educators and learners in meaningful ways, and we’re delighted to recognize their achievements.”

At TCI, we believe students learn history best when they take part in it. That’s why our social studies programs, used in thousands of classrooms nationwide, go beyond reading and memorizing. Students dig into primary sources, work through hands-on activities, and explore big questions through inquiry-driven lessons. For teachers, that means complex ideas become easier to teach and more relevant for every learner, from kindergarten through high school.
