The Paperless Classroom
Can’t you just see that spotless desk gleaming in the corner of your classroom? Nothing but your laptop and maybe a few “World’s Best Teacher” mementos? Okay, so we can’t promise you a paperless classroom overnight, but we hope you’ll discover a dramatic decrease in paper use in your classroom with the introduction of Applying Common Core this summer.
Students will respond to a series of prompts for each lesson. Some responses will be written, some will be drawn, but all will be saved online. And not just saved online, but organized so that if you’d like to see a student’s response to a prompt, you just click on their link for that lesson and you see everything they’ve written and drawn. While you’re there, you can also add comments and assign a score, all on one page.
Did you notice anything in the description above? Not once did I say “email”. No inbox crammed full of messages with attachments, all with the same file names, most without subject lines. It’s all been organized for you. Reviewing, commenting, grading, all in one place. Sound too good to be true? Try it out on us this year. All subscriptions will include this new feature at no cost for the 2012/2013 school year.
Give it a spin and let us know what you think. As with all new features, we’ll be carefully listening to your feedback to make sure that we’re meeting your needs. Just hit the feedback and support button at the top of your subscription.
