TCI Coaches’ Role
TCI Coaches conduct events and activities within their district to help teachers effectively implement the TCI Approach. TCI Coaches are part of a national community of educators – united by TCI’s online portal – dedicated to bringing lasting change to social studies instruction.
How TCI Supports Its Coaches
TCI is committed to providing Coaches with the tools, support, and inspiration to help them expand implementation of the TCI Approach in their districts. TCI supports our coaches through practical tools, comprehensive information and material resources.
Trainers
Trainers present at customer-sponsored workshops and professional conferences across the nation to train teachers in the TCI Approach. Trainers have experience using TCI curricular materials and strategies, have attended a Level 1 TCI training, and have experience presenting to adult learners. Trainers typically conduct at least three weeks of training in the summer and a few days during the school year.
Teacher Consultants
A Teacher Consultant assists the Customer Consultant in advocating the TCI Approach to neighboring districts in their state by way of presentations and attending professional conferences. A Teacher Consultant has usually been a Coach and is Level 1 trained.
Staff
The TCI staff is made up of TCI employees who work for the TCI organization within divisions and departments.
