What We Do:

The Science Curriculum Developer works within the Product Development Group and works closely with the Production and Software teams to bring new lessons to life in TCI's online subscription as well as print materials. The Science Curriculum Developer:

  • Develops three-dimensional investigations based on Next Generation Science Standards.
  • Seamlessly incorporates Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and the Disciplinary Core Ideas.
  • Creates story-based performance assessments that require students to demonstrate their knowledge and apply their skills to solve real problems and explain real phenomena.
  • Works closely with Senior Developer to create pages for Investigation Journal, reading notes, handouts, and placards.

  • A deep understanding of NGSS and Framework for K-12 Science highly desired.

What You Will Do:

Our Product Support team works closely with a variety of teams including software, sales, and accounting. The Support Intern will work in a highly collaborative environment interacting directly with customers while learning about the innovative and rapidly changing educational technology industry. Interns will learn to use a variety of business systems--Salesforce, Netsuite, and UserVoice.

  • Supporting customers from 7AM to 4PM from Monday to Friday.
  • Responding to customer support requests via TCI's ticketing system, UserVoice.
  • Answering customer support phone calls.
  • Pro-actively communicating with customers via social media and System Messages to build excitement for new features and ensure usage of existing features.
  • Suggesting improvements to software based on customer feedback and support needs.
  • Updating knowledge base to reflect latest releases and customer questions.

What You Should Know to Apply:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of browsers including Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, and Safari is desired
  • Software troubleshooting experience is a plus
  • Experience with social media is a plus
