Job Description

  • Leads on the creation of detailed visual outlines for each lesson.
  • Reviews all student text and works with writer to ensure text adheres to guidelines.
  • Edits student text and ensures it meets TCI's high level of quality and excellence and adheres to editorial checklist.
  • Outlines, develops, and tests investigations and reading activities based on NGSS standards in collaboration with TCI's team of developers.
  • Reviews physical science content as needed and ensures it is scientifically accurate and correct.
  • Pilot curriculum under development at local schools to further innovate and shape prototypes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Physics Subject Matter Expert; BA, BS, or MA, or equivalent, science degree, educational related degree.
  • Science teaching experience at middle school level is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach complicated concepts and make them understandable for students.
  • 1-3 years professional experience including research, teaching, and/or curriculum development, a combination of all three preferred.
  • A deep understanding of NGSS and Framework for K-12 Science highly desired.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, effectively prioritize and work collaboratively with the team.

TCI Internship Program

Interns are an important part of the TCI Team. Our interns work on actual projects, right alongside regular employees. Our interns:

  • Maintain a regular part-time or full-time schedule.
  • Engage in real world assignments and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with their manager and team members.
  • Attend educational sessions (lunch time speaker events, All Staff & team meetings).
  • Have some fun, ask questions, get involved and learn some new things.

Job Description

  • Writes and edits new and revised content for social studies.
  • Performs photo research and selects highest quality images available within our budget per lesson.
  • Ensures content meets TCI's high-level of quality and excellence and evaluates standards to create content that is grade-level appropriate.
  • Presents revision work at regular IPMs and applies feedback received at the meetings.
  • Performs research for supplemental instruction for current lessons.
  • Assists in creation of digital comprehension activities.
  • Loads content into content management system.
  • Works collaboratively with content development group.
  • At least 32 hours per week for minimum of two months, paid internship.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Interest and background in history a plus.
  • Must work on-site in Mountain View.

  • Generates science illustrations with a hand-rendered look.
  • Collaborates directly with science editors to create highly accurate illustrations, graphics, flow charts, and schematics.
  • Assists senior designer in the creation of graphic collateral to be inserted into TCI's proprietary software system.
  • Contributes to TCI's design style guide.
  • Works within a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic, and creative leader who is able to execute both strategically and tactically while working in a variety of roles. The Product Manager will take new products and features from planning to release and will develop and implement a strategy to increase our subscription conversion and retention rates. This includes working with teams across the organization to:

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution.
  • Drive product requirement decisions and customer communication strategies to increase user conversion and retention rates.
  • Conduct a variety of user experience activities to gather feedback from customers and staff.
  • Develop wire frames, mock-ups, and other guides for development.
  • Follow the Agile development model to manage work flow, and to create, manage, and prioritize feature releases.
  • Use Google Analytics and other reports to measure and analyze product metrics and drive decisions to increase retention rates.
  • Simplify our customer communications including user articles and trainings, user emails, System Messages, e-News, and social media posts.
  • Provide product training and sales tools to the sales and support teams.
  • Manage pricing and help drive operational decisions related to products.

Job Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management and marketing experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Comfort working across teams and in a rapidly changing Agile environment.
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing skills.
  • Experience managing marketing communications in a SaaS environment.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles—design skills a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other business software systems.
  • Drives decisions through analytical research.
